(appearance, sound, language) What gives you a good/bad impression when you first meet someone?

Question 2(short answer): Do you think you give a good first impression?

What leaves a Good/Bad first impression on you?

GOOD EXAMPLES

I usually have a good impression of someone if they have a nice smile. I think the smile expresses the person’s real nature and I think it is easy to tell if someone is sincere and caring, as well as if they have a positive attitude about life. If someone looks like they are forcing a smile, or not smiling, it makes me feel as though they are not really interested in listening to me, or knowing me.

A playful personality almost always leaves a good first impression on me. I think it’s important to find humor in life and if someone is able to be a little funny, then I think they likely take great joy in life, and they would be a fun person to be around.

When I meet someone for the first time, if they are extremely nervous, it usually leaves a bad impression on me. To me, overly nervous or stressed people tend to be the kind of people who worry too much or let stress get to them too easily.

I think it’s so important to be confident, but not overly confident. Being self-assured is a kind of sign to me that they are not afraid to do or speak freely, and in turn will likely be more social or talkative. So it is difficult for me to want to be friends with the kind of person I think is too shy.

I often have a bad first impression if the conversation is one-sided. For example, if the person doesn’t ask me any questions, or when I ask them questions, they generally answer with a yes or no, or a very short sentence. This makes me feel they are uninterested in talking or knowing about me, so I become uninterested as well.

BAD EXAMPLES

A nice smile leaves a good first impression on me. I think a good smile is important. People who don’t smile are not people I like to be around. Also, being funny is important. I like funny people.

Someone who doesn’t follow generally polite behavior leaves a bad first impression on me. I don’t like people who are impolite and don’t want to be around them, so I stay away from those people.

I was often a bad impression that dialog. one-sided. For example, people don't ask me questions, or I gave them a reply to the question as a general rule, yes or no, or very short sentence was. I feel they are indifferent to the talk or wanted to know indifferent to.
